# Requirements

> Node.js 22, pnpm, a Sanity account and somewhere to host the site, and what each one is for.

## On your computer

- **Node.js 22.** The exact version is in the `.nvmrc` file. If you use nvm, run `nvm use` in the project folder.
- **pnpm.** The version is set in `package.json` under `packageManager`. Run `corepack enable` once (Corepack ships with Node.js) and the right pnpm version is used automatically.
- **Git.** Recommended. It keeps a history of your changes, and most hosts deploy from a Git repository.
- **A terminal and a code editor.**

Check your setup:

```bash
node -v
pnpm -v
```

`node -v` should print a version starting with `v22`.

## Accounts

- **Sanity** ([sanity.io](https://www.sanity.io)). Stores your content and runs Studio, the editor for your site. Check Sanity's plans for your usage.
- **A host.** Any static host, such as Cloudflare Pages, Netlify or nginx, or a server that runs Node.js or Docker. See [Deploy](https://templates.artizanteknoloji.com/en/docs/deploy).
- **A domain,** if the site should run on your own address.

## What you need to know

You don't need to know Astro to install and deploy a template. You'll run commands in a terminal and edit a `.env` file. To change the design, you'll edit Astro components and Tailwind CSS.
